Used Gibbs Towing (Ashland, OH) on 1/20/19 when my delivery driver got stuck in light snow. First, BEWARE that a 5 minute easy pull from the snow is a charge of $125! Then, we immediately noticed mechanical problems in the front of the car. Took the car to a mechanic and in his opinion, the mechanical issues were caused by the pull from Gibbs Towing, resulting in a few hundred dollars of repairs. I called Gibbs Towing on 1/29/19 to tell them what my mechanic said and the man immediately became overly defensive. I was very nice to him, as I had hoped to resolve the matter civilly. I offered to send him a mechanic's statement but he said Gibbs Towing is NOT responsible for ANY damage, and referred me to the "Customer Liability Release Form" on the back of the work order which WAS NOT SIGNED! I asked if he would refund the charge so that I could use those funds towards the repairs. He then told me to NEVER use them for service again. Gibbs Towing had absolutely no empathy for my situation and made no attempt to resolve the problem.
