We're had our 2012 Jeep Patriot transported from Cullowhee NC to California just this past week using your company. It was supposed to have gotten here on a Tuesday but it was delayed until early Thursday morning. When we received it the guy had already driven the car off his truck(which he parked out of sight) and had it waiting for us outside our home.
I kept hearing debri inside my hatch door everytime I opened it, thinking it was just dirt or rocks from the long drive to California. Today I was able to actually see small traces of residual blue tape around our hatch window as well as a sticker that had been somewhat torn off on the window itself. As I began opening my hatch I kept hearing what sounded like rocks inside of the actual door. Then I noticed large shards of black glass all in the cracks of the back area and hidden around the door itself. I also noticed that the window looked almost "brand new" when we've had our car for almost 4 years now. I will be having the residual glass tested to see if it is from our original window manufacturer.
It is very obvious our window has been replaced and NOONE told us a thing about this AND we were still charged the same full amount of 1250.00(100.00 after dispatch and 1150.00 on arrival). The driver via text admitted to causing the glass issue but wouldn't be specific about what happened (which I have proof of). I want the drivers full insurance information so that we can make an official claim and complaint for this negligence. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau. Replacing a damaged window without the knowledge of the owners and NOT informing us at any point that it ever occurred is a clear violation of our opportunity as consumers to even have noticed the issue to report on the BOL initially. Due to the driver hiding that it was replaced, we were not provided any information as to who replaced the window(is it under warranty?, was it done correctly?, etc) either. I want a complete refund.
