My car was picked up and delivered as scheduled. I was surprised when they advised that they had to physically drive my car from Montclair to Boonton because their truck couldn't fit on the streets. My home is right off of Bloomfield Avenue and there are 18-wheelers in the parking lot across from mine. Still I went along with it as it's not that many miles. However, a few days later I received notifications from EZ-Pass for the days my car was being transported. The tolls were just about $30 in total. I contacted Sherpa (company who hired Ave Transport) and the driver of Ave Transport and was advised by both that they are not responsible for the tolls incurred. I was also advised by Sherpa that due to insurance reasons, Ave Transport was NOT supposed to physically drive my car anywhere other than a few feet from its location to the transport truck. While I was please with the service overall, I was not please with having to incur EZ-Pass charges after already paying $1425 for the transport.
