Cartogo Inc. made my move (documented below) incredibly stressful and I would give zero stars if I could.
Friday: I was told to expect pickup at noon. I then received a confirmation for a pickup window of 3-5 PM. I had paid a lot of extra money to ensure that my car would be picked up by a certain date as I was moving halfway across the country on Sunday.
Saturday: After packing up my apartment, I texted Cartogo at 3:45 PM asking for an update on my pickup. At 4:48 PM, I said I was preparing to move and needed to know that my car was still being picked up. I tried calling several times and they didn’t answer or have a voicemail set up. I also emailed them and never received a reply. At 5:35 PM, they said there was a delay due to weather conditions. The weather is obviously out of their control, but the company’s lack of communication was 100% on them. I was told that my driver was past the closed road now and he was 200 miles away. The employee told me that he would either come “today by the end of the day or very early tomorrow morning.” After she told me she would keep me posted, I sent the name and address of the hotel I was staying at (about two minutes from my apartment I had packed up/the original pickup location). At 5:44 PM, I was told I would get an ETA within two hours. Two hours passed and I didn’t hear anything. At 7:48 PM, I asked for an ETA and was told the driver would be there within the next hour. Over an hour passed and again I did not hear anything from the company. At 8:49 PM, I said I was exhausted from moving all day and needed to know when my car would be picked up. After not receiving a reply by 9:05 PM, I said I either needed an ETA or the contact information for the employee’s manager. The employee then gave me the driver’s name and number. My driver was kind and thorough. I have no complaints about my driver as he was able to communicate and give me a solid ETA.
